On Wednesday 21 September founder of SeeMe Caterina Occhio will present her fair trade jewelry project at the sixth edition of the First Ladies Luncheon organized during the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Fashion 4 Development’s Annual First Ladies Luncheon is held to celebrate the unprecedented cooperation between diplomacy and fashion for the greater good of women and children worldwide.

This year, SeeMe is swimming against the dark tide of consumerism that is Black Friday thus transforming it into #OrangeFriday. The Orange Friday initiative aims at bringing light and much deserved attention to the United Nations UNiTE campaign’s #OrangeTheWorld. Coinciding with The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, today November 25th and running till Human Rights Day, December 10th, #OrangeFriday donations and discounts will run for the entirety of the UN Women's 16 days of activism.
UNiTE is a United Nations campaign aiming at ending all types of violence against women through law and policy enforcement, mobilization and partnerships. In fact, UNiTE has put together a big network of women’s organizations, youth groups, men, media people, government representatives as well celebrities and artists to support the campaign. Orange is the color of Elimination of Violence Against Women.

25 November marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and the beginning of The Official 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign, which runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. The campaign links the movement to end violence against women and girls with the human rights movement.

For SS16, SeeMe launches its first fine jewellery line.
The iconic SeeMe heart has been transformed into a precious piece thanks to the ancestral skills of Jacques Levon, a renewed Armenian jeweller from Bourj Hammoud in Beirut. The collection is conceived with the Dutch designer Peter Bedner.
It was born within the UN agency UNIDO's project: ‘Developing of clusters in cultural and creative industries in the Southern Mediterranean’, funded by the EU and the Italian development cooperation. Final aim is to support employment and the formal private sector as well as promoting regional cooperation in the Southern Mediterranean region.
